Angie Verlodt Martino, C.P.A.

Professional Background

Upon graduating from college, Angie worked for Enterprise Rent-A-Car. In 1995 she became the marketing coordinator for NTN communications in Carlsbad, California. Her responsibilities included social coordinator for NTN at the NFL Pro Bowl in Hawaii.

After leaving NTN she worked for Schumacher, also in Carlsbad. In 2000 she moved to the Central Valley of California and did a stint as an assistant wine maker and beer brewer at Red Rock Winery and Brewery in Merced, California. While in the valley, Angie also worked as a Staff Accountant for Hillberg & Co., CPAs.

Family brought her back to San Diego, where she worked as a Staff Accountant for Gatto, Pope, Walwick & Associates, LLP. She moved with one of the partners from the firm to Blue Haven Pools and Spas corporate office as the Assistant Controller. In March of 2008, Angie ventured out on her own as the owner of Black Dog Accounting.

1994 – BSBA in International Marketing, Northern Arizona University
2002/2003 –  Upper division accounting courses CSU, Stanislaus
2004 –  Certified Public Accountant (CPA)

Personal Information

Angie has a black lab named Gus, the inspiration for the Black Dog Accounting name. Her husband is a permanent lifeguard who is the supervisor at Silver Strand State Beach. They live in Imperial Beach.
